WALK/WADE TRIPS:  The Truckee River and its tributaries as well as the East Walker River provide excellent opportunities for anglers in both Nevada and California.  Our guides are experts on these waters and can provide you with a fun and educational adventure any month of the year.  Half day and full day trips are available.

LAKE TRIPS:  The Reno Tahoe area has a wide variety of lakes and reservoirs available to fly anglers of all skill levels.  Pyramid Lake, Davis Lake, Frenchmens Reservoir, Eagle Lake and many others provide year around fly fishing in a variety of settings.  We offer these excursions in boats, float tubes and pontoons boats or as walk/wade adventures, depending on the location.  Most of our lake trips are full day trips.

FLOAT TRIPS:   The Lower Truckee River (in Nevada) provides some excellent opportunity for float trips.  For those who enjoy seeing a bunch of water and casting all day from a comfortable seat, a float trip down the Truckee can be a great experience.  These trips are subject to the in stream flows in the river, which are not always adequate to allow us to float, especially in the late summer and early fall.  Most float trips are full day trips for 1 or 2 anglers and include shuttle service.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT GUIDED TRIPS:

“If I don’t have any equipment, or didn’t bring it with me, what do I do?”   No problem, we provide rods/reels, waders, flies and terminal tackle on all our guided trips for no additional charge.  All you have to do is buy a license (online purchase info provided on our home page) and show up!!!

“What do I bring on the trip?”  You should bring a current fishing license, polarized sunglasses, a baseball style hat, sunscreen, layered clothing appropriate for the weather, warm socks and a snack if lunch is not being provided.  Your guide will have a cooler with bottled water for you to drink.  You are welcome to use the cooler for other beverages you may prefer.

“How long will my guided trip last?”  A half day trip is generally 4 – 4½ hours from the time you meet your guide.  A full day trip is generally 8 - 8 ½ hours from the time you meet your guide.

“How do I pay for my trip?”  Preferred payment is check or cash, paid directly to your guide on the day of the trip.  If you must pay by credit card, you will need to make arrangements for this in advance of your trip.
